Testimonials From Our Amazing Customers

Mr. Jeff Frank,

Well I read your last email around 7am this morning. I have written and torn up three emails since then, because frankly I did not know what to say. First off I want to apologize to you for all your time that this has taken up. Second, after letting my wife read the email, she has had this red tint to her face all day. I have gotten a few good laughs when she was not in the same room.

You have to understand that I am just an old retired truck driver, but my wife has a Master Degree in Education, so the more her face lit up, the more I had to go outside for a good laugh. To be honest with you, after talking with her, I was going to tell you not to send us the free throw pillows, however I just got an email from Shannon saying they had been shipped. I appreciate what you have done, but I am embarrassed that she misread your email and asked for the pillows.

Again I will tell you that we are very happy with our sofa. We have already had two couples come and look at it, plus I have emailed pictures to several of my RVing friends. We will take the gift certificate with us in ourRVand if we have anyone who we think is seriously considering a Simplicity Sofa, we will give them the certificate. Hopefully before the end of this year, someone will give you a call with a gift certificate, that they want to apply to a new sofa.

I have done business with a lot of companies during my lifetime, but never have I encountered anyone like Simplicity Sofas. My wife and I will never forget how you have treated us.

There is only one big problem, I sit on the sofa and it makes me snuggle down and take a nap !! Lol we are blown away by the quality of not only the sofa but the bed as well. We had no problems getting it in the RV and put it together in truely minutes!

We looked for 3 months for a sofa and you were the best and only option available! We will post puctures to the website. Also Jeff and the rest if the crew were wonderful helping with questions and all.

Talk to most RVers. They would likely agree that stock RV furniture is lacking, both in style and quality of construction. Many people wind up replacing their furniture within a year or two. Since ordering our RV we've learned that one usually has the option of ordering without any furniture at all (and get credited on the sale price of the RV). While we love our KZ, the living room (we call it 'the great room') furniture that came with it left much to be desired.

Our sofa was definitely at the top of our short list to replace. But given the parameters of our living area and restrictions of size and weight of conventional furniture, what were we to do? In December we stumbled across the Simplicitysofas.com web site. Their products were not only intriguing from a quality standpoint but they also fit our tastes in design, fabric and color.

Simplicity Sofas appeared to be constructed with small spaces in mind, to fit through narrow doorways, and to be easily assembled, which encouraged us to dig further. We ordered a catalog, some fabric samples, and exchanged emails and phone calls with the company, usually communicating directly with owner/president, Jeff Frank.

Jeff was quick to respond to our every question, which left us with the impression that the company's claim to first-rate 24/7 customer service was not sales hype. Heartening first steps. After reviewing fabric samples and discussing/measuring what would be a good fit, along with reading many positive customer experiences, we opted to take the plunge.

On December 26 we ordered our 'apartment' sized sofa. Mind you ' we've never sat on a Simplicity Sofa so we were more than a little nervous about ordering furniture sight unseen ' or 'unsat'. We had an additional concern about ordering a sofa so close to our departure to Ecuador. Jeff assured us that even with the company's Christmas and New Year's holiday break schedules, it would arrive when we needed it to arrive. Jeff kept us updated on the sofa's build process and delivery schedule via email.

Sure enough, our sofa arrived from North Carolina via UPS freight in three boxes (total 160 pounds) on Friday January 22, less than a month after placing our order. Prior to its arrival we found a home for our less than year-old RV sofa. Another couple in our RV park was looking to replace their aged sofa and were delighted to receive ours. Our one condition: in lieu of any payment to us, that they make a donation to a Haitian earthquake relief organization of their choice to which they heartily agreed.

Simplicity Sofa stated that their sofas are built using solid oak frames and may be assembled in less than fifteen minutes. Too good to be true? It took less than ten minutes to EASILY move the three pieces into the RV and assemble them following clear and concise instructions without any tools. The frame is solid and well built as opposed to the stapled-together sofa that started to fall apart the moment we levered it out the door. Not only does the fabric look and feel great, it's very comfortable to sit on. Add some throw pillows and we're good to go. It took far longer to cut up the cardboard shipping boxes for recycling!

So what did we give up by making the swap? The old sofa had a slide out drawer for under-seat storage. However, the drawer was unwieldy to open and close and because it had already had come off one of the two rails, it was pretty useless. And we didn't need the storage space anyway. The sofa folded out to accommodate an air mattress but when it was open, it took up too much space. The new sofa is not a sleeper sofa but we kept the air mattress and in a pinch, it will fit on the floor in front of the sofa. While it would not have worked for our situation, Simplicity Sofa offers an airbed option but only on their full-sized sofas.

And what did we gain? A great looking well-constructed sofa that fits nicely into the space allotted. It's far more comfortable to sit on and our choice of fabric blends well with the colors of the RV interior. Alas, the photo of the new sofa doesn't do the subtle "Pebble Sage" color justice.

We're extremely pleased with Simplicity Sofa. A company that was easy to deal with, provided excellent customer service and delivered a product that was exactly what was promised. In fact, their products would fit well in numerous home settings regardless of space constraints. As for RVers looking to replace their stock RV furniture, we couldn't recommend a better solution than Simplicity Sofa. Maybe it's time to replace the swivel recliner.

Just want to let you know that we love the sofa. The new back cushions that you sent work great. We cannot believe that we are on a boat and have such a comfortable couch. This is a great product and a great solution for anyone that needs real furniture but can't get it through the door.

We love our new sofa!!!

I can't believe how lucky we were to find Simplicity Sofas at the Hershey RV show. The sofa fits perfectly in our TV room and is an ideal match with our carpet. I wish we had known about you before we bought our living room loveseats two years ago. Hey, you never know. We may be in the market for more sofas!

The pictures attached don't do justice to how nice it actually looks in the room. Thank you so much. It was a pleasure meeting you and doing business with you.

My goodness, what service and concern for your customers!! I am rather cynical and since I've been involved in so much horror around the planet and the deceit that spawned it I am taken aback when people show straight up decency.

Thank you' I bet you are very pleasant to hang with. We spend much time in various RV parks and my wife is highly social so this results in our rig being the place where folks often come for coffee and conversation. I will speak highly of you and your company as long as I have the liberty and freedom to do so.

Furniture replacement is a subject that often comes up since so many folks are living full time in their rigs so the wear/replacement subject is common. I now have a place/website to send them without hesitation since I know they will receive the best treatment. Peace.

We just put our new sofa in the camper on Tuesday, 4-26-11. It looks like it was custom-made just for our camper. It looks great, feels great and you all are great people to deal with. We have given your web site to a couple of friends at the campground. We will be proud and pleased to refer your company to anyone we can. It was a pleasure dealing with you all. Thanks again.

Thanks for the follow up. Yes the sofa arrived however it is still in the boxes. We looked inside them and everything seems okay. The space we ordered the sofa for is not ready yet and is at a different location so we left them in the boxes to transfer them there when we are done with the space. It is a small space which is why we purchased the sofa from your company. We had to cut apart the old sofa that was in there because we couldn't get it out the door. Apparently way back when the trailer was manufactured they would put the furniture in and built around it. Ha, who knew. Anyway, we are getting close to completion and I cant wait to see the sofa in there. I will send pics when we are done. Briny Breezes is one of the few trailer parks left that is on the ocean and it has quite the history.

As far as your company is concerned, I have never had a better experience. I actually ordered the sofa on New Years Eve and was floored that someone answered the phone and took my order! I am very happy with this purchase and your company and will be letting all my friends know about you. Sincerely

I have spoken to Jenny. Thank you for your prompt attention. We purchased a sofa for our boat a few years ago, so this is our second time to buy from your company. We are very pleased!

Thank you. I didn't expect you to be so generous. We are going to Lazy Days RV repair in about 3 weeks. I will ask them if they can do the reupholstering and if so how many yards they will need. I will get back to you as soon as I talk with them. Thanks again.

RV and Boat Owner Reviews about Simplicity Sofas

We received the chair back yesterday and it looks and fits correctly. Thanks for the fast turnaround. You certainly do have great customer service.

"The sofa we purchased for our park model is FANTASTIC! The sofa fit the space perfectly!! We love it!! We will definately be passing along information to all our park model customers about you guys!!"

Countryside RV

Thanks so much for checking in on us in regards to our new sofa. It came in just as ordered. It was easy to assemble and we love it! It is perfect for our space in our park model!

We have been telling all of our park model customers about you guys. In fact, if you have more catalogs, please mail them our way.

The only issue that we had was in the transportation of the sofa to us. The freight company had an incorrect address so they ended up delivering to us at home instead of to our vacation home site. Not a problem though and all is well.

Thanks again!!

Hi Shannon and Ann!

We finally have our motorhome back from having some engine work done and in just a short time we had the old, ugly, uncomfortable sofa out and the pretty, new Simplicity Sofa in place! Here is a quick explanation of the photos.

First picture, you can see how much higher the back is and how much further it sticks out in front. Next picture is of the platform, felt covered plywood, that supported the brown cushions. The old sofa was not comfortable.

Next 3 pictures are of the new sofa installed today. Looks like it was made to fit, and it was, it fits perfectly! It looks soooo much better and is very comfortable to sit on! We love it! What a big difference! The quality of the Simplicity sofa is excellent, very good craftsmanship.

Your customer service department is the best! You all have been so helpful, spending lots of time when we visited your showroom, explaining all the choices, styles, fabrics, double checking measurements, etc, making sure everything was correct when ordering. You couldn't have been more accommodating. Our Sofa in a Box arrived on time and was packed extremely well.

Our overall experience doing business with Simplicity Sofas was wonderful, A-1. We will certainly recommend you to family and friends for quality made-to-order sofas or chairs, dealing with friendly, super-helpful staff. We are so happy with our new sofa! Thank you all again!

Very best regards,

P.S. - Thank you for sending the extra piece of black lining material. The hole in the liner under the sofa was made by the shipper during handling and not your fault. We easily covered the accident spot and is not visible.

Shannon,

The sofa arrived on Tuesday (yesterday) and took about 20 minutes to unpack and assemble. There was no damage. The workmanship was excellent. The feel of the cushions was great. Have not yet tried to set up the bed portion but the unfolded bed slid nicely under the sofa and so makes storage simple.

Thanks for a very nice sofa.

We are showing it off and will try to scare up some business with our RV friends.

Daniel Duryea

Hi, Shannon:

The sofa was well packed and arrived with no damage, Once unboxed, it was not difficult to get the sofa parts through my mobile home door.  The assembly was a snap and the color and fabric works well with the interior of my home--largely because of the fabric swatches you sent. I find the product to be reasonably priced and well made. The delivery was right on time.

A friend's wife made some snarky comments about the fabric puckering on the sofa arms, but it really does not bother me. Your website pictures show the same amount of puckering. But since you have to please female customers, I thought I would let you know.

Anyway, I'm satisfied and would recommend your product to friends.

David Shertz

Shannon,

The sofa is fine. It’s exactly as you presented it and the fabric is just what we ordered. It’s beautiful and just right for our needs.

As I mentioned before, my husband just got home from the hospital after open heart surgery and has not had a chance to see or sit on the new sofa. It is intended to be installed in our motorhome and that can’t happen for couple of months. I can’t see any problem with it working just fine in our motorhome’s space……….but we won’t know till we try.

As for the furniture itself, it seems of the highest quality, with great workmanship, and the wooden legs are very attractive and well made. The ease of assembly is outstanding. Customer service has been remarkable with instant responses and ease of working with the interior designer on the phone. I foresee no problems at all.

Gayle Putman

Oh Shannon,

I apologize for not writing last night. I absolutely love the sofa! It literally went together in 10 minutes. It is perfect for our
motorhome and went through the door very easily. I can't imagine why anyone would pay the price for "RV" sofas when these are much nicer, plus they wanted to charge us $900 just to get an RV sofa installed. This is the perfect solution.

I'm very impressed with the design and the quality. And, customer service….wow! From the first email I have been impressed by the integrity of the company. I cannot think of one thing I would suggest changing. I have told all my friends about your company. Thank you all for being so great to work with! Until next time I need furniture…

PS. I'm going to recommend Simplicity Sofas to our RV service rep so that he has an alternative to offer his customers.

Cathy Burroughs

Hi Jeff,

Thanks for taking the time to write. I can tell you that the decision to buy one of your sofas did not come without extensive research and thought. We bought a pre-owned Hitchhiker 5th wheel, and have been renovating the interior for some time. One of the final decisions we made was how to furnish it. We knew that we wanted a sofa, but it had to meet certain criteria. It had to be a scaled down version, but not a love seat. It had to be well made and attractive. It had to come with a wide choice of fabric textures and colors. And most importantly, it had to fit through the 23 inch door of ourRV. The only sofa that met all of those criteria was yours. We are first time RVers, and this will be our retirement venture. We feel confident that we made the right choice with this sofa.

I hope your company grows and prospers. There is definitely a market for your product within the RVindustry.
